German сompanies receive nearly €800 million in US tariff refunds

German companies have received around €790 million after the US Supreme Court ruled to overturn a number of tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.

According to Report, citing German broadcaster Tagesschau, the data was published following the court's decision.

Among German publicly traded companies, logistics giant DHL received the largest tariff refund. DHL Chief Financial Officer Melanie Kreis said the company had received a total of €416 million in refunds.

Significant tariff refunds were also recorded in the healthcare sector. Jochen Schmitz, CFO of medical technology manufacturer Siemens Healthineers, said the company had received around €200 million in net tariff refunds by the end of July.

From October 2025 through the end of June 2026, the US government paid out a total of around $81.3 billion in tariff refunds.
