Copper prices have been decreasing for two days as concerns about the global economy's future continue to rise due to the coronavirus pandemic, Report says.
At 9.45 Baku time today, March futures for copper declined 0.3% to $ 3.4975 per pound (454 grams) on the Comex.
On the London Metal Exchange (LME) yesterday, a ton of March futures for copper fell 0.65% to $ 7,710, aluminum - 1.32% to $ 2,017, and zinc - 1.32% to $ 2,017.
Market participants are concerned about the increase in coronavirus infections, but there are also some side effects. This week, copper has risen in price by more than 6% for ten consecutive days. The reason for this is the optimism that a new COVID-19 drug will be released.
