STAR refinery raises diesel output by 6.13% in June

STAR Oil Refinery, an asset of Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) in Türkiye, produced more than 560,350 tons of diesel fuel in June this year.
According to Report, the figures were released by Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
Diesel production at the refinery increased by 23,372 tons, or 6.13%, compared with June 2025.
Overall, Turkish oil refineries produced approximately 1.43 million tons of diesel fuel in June, up by 25,931 tons, or 1.85%, compared with the same month last year.
STAR refinery was inaugurated on October 19, 2018, while construction began on October 5, 2011. The facility reached full operational capacity in September 2019.
The refinery has an annual crude oil processing capacity of 13 million tons and can process Urals, Azeri Light and Kirkuk crude oil.
Its main products include diesel fuel, with an annual production capacity of 4.8 million tons, aviation fuel, naphtha with a capacity of 1.6 million tons, liquefied petroleum gas, mixed xylene and petroleum coke.
STAR was the first facility in Türkiye to receive a Strategic Investment Incentive Certificate.
