SOCAR pavilion wins Best National Stand Design award at OGU-2026 exhibition

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf has attended the 28th international exhibition and conference Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan (OGU-2026) in Tashkent.

Report informs, citing SOCAR, that as part of the event, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, BP Executive Vice-President Ariel Flores, and BP Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye Giovanni Cristofoli.

Najaf conveyed greetings and best wishes from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Uzbek president.

Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for President Aliyev's greetings and asked Najaf to convey his greetings to the Azerbaijani president.

The SOCAR president, together with BP"s executive vice-president and regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, held trilateral meetings with Uzbek Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov and Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Abdugani Sanginov.

The meetings noted that the Ustyurt project is being successfully implemented in line with the far-sighted policy set by the presidents of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The sides exchanged views on exploration, development and production activities in the Ustyurt investment blocks, as well as issues related to expanding cooperation between the parties.

Following the trilateral meetings, documents were signed on BP's accession to the Production Sharing Agreement on the exploration, development and production of the Ustyurt investment blocks.

At a meeting between the SOCAR president and MOL Group Executive Vice-President Zsombor Marton, satisfaction was expressed with the long-term partnership between the companies, and the implementation status of joint projects was reviewed.

Najaf also viewed the OGU-2026 exhibition as part of the event.

SOCAR is represented at the exhibition with its own pavilion. The stand presents visitors with information about SOCAR"s various areas of activity, operations carried out in Azerbaijan and abroad, oil and gas pipeline systems, green energy initiatives, digital solutions and other strategic projects.

SOCAR's pavilion won an award in the Best National Stand Design nomination at the OGU-2026 international exhibition.
