Orban: Hungary won't get Qatari LNG before 2026

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from Qatar to Hungary will not start until 2026, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at an economic forum in Qatar, Report informs via foreign media.
Earlier, the Hungarian prime minister said that following negotiations with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, he had agreed to purchase Qatari LNG.
"Negotiations on deliveries are still ongoing ... We arrived in Qatar to sign an agreement, but even if it works out, deliveries will not begin until 2026," Orban said.
The Hungarian prime minister did not disclose the details of the deal regarding the expected volume of gas purchases.
