Joint research conducted by Azerbaijan with Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute (EPPEI) of China will enable the formation of a roadmap for the development of the country's energy infrastructure, Report informs, citing statements by Head of the Hydrogen and Green Technologies Department at the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency Fuad Mushtagov during the webinar "Infrastructure Development, E-Mobility and Renewable Energy Storage Solutions in Azerbaijan."
Mushtagov recalled that an agreement was concluded with EPPEI on April 6 of this year to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the power grid.
"Two key modeling tools were applied within the framework of the study: PLEXOS for generation modeling and economic dispatching, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory for assessing static and dynamic grid stability. The study incorporates 22 different scenarios. The expected output will be a detailed grid development roadmap, which will also help identify optimal connection points and prospective grid reinforcement needs," the department head noted.
