This year, the Azerigaz production association of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has built an 11.1-kilometer underground polyethylene gas pipeline to the liberated village of Talish in the Tartar district through internal financial resources.
Teymur Jafarov, head of the gasification and development department of Azerigaz, said during the Open Doors action that the construction process was complicated by mines: "More than 75 mines were found during the construction of the pipeline. The landmines were found every 150 meters of the section on average. Azerigaz asked for the professional assistance of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA)."
According to Jafarov, Azerigaz worked in an enhanced mode to lay the gas pipeline and deliver it on time.
