Azerbaijan discloses volume of oil production in January

In January 2025, 2.3 million tons of oil (including condensate) was produced in Azerbaijan, 0.2 million tons or 8% less compared to the indicator of 2023, Report informs, citing the operational data released by the Ministry of Energy.

During the reporting period, 1.3 million tons of the republic's oil production came from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field block, 0.1 million tons or 7.1% less compared to the first month of 2024.

Some 0.3 million tons of condensate was produced from the Shah Deniz field, 0.1 million or 25% less compared to the production indicator of January last year.

Also, 50 thousand tons (gas condensate) came from the Absheron field, which is the same in annual comparison.

In January, oil production (including condensate) by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to 0.6 million tons, which is 0.1 million tons or 14.3% less year-on-year.
