Temperatures expected to drop in some parts of Azerbaijan

Several days of heatwave are expected to be followed by unstable weather and occasional rains in the northern and western districts starting from the evening of August 24 until August 17, Report informs, referring to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

The downpours may intensify in some areas, with lightning and hail expected.

Easterly wind will occasionally accelerate to 20-25 m/s in some areas, and temperatures will drop by 4-7 C compared to the previous days.

Water levels in rivers will increase, and short-term floods are expected in some mountainous rivers.
