Pollution level of Azerbaijani rivers to be monitored online

Automatic hydrometeorological stations to be installed on four rivers of Azerbaijan - Basitchay, Okhchuchay, Bargushad and Araz, will be equipped with quality sensors, the head of the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Umayra Tagiyeva said, Report informs.
According to Tagiyeva, the process will allow monitoring the level of river pollution continuously and online, thanks to automatic stations.
“Through these stations, international organizations and local structures will be able to receive online information on the level of river pollution,” she added.
Tagiyeva noted that ten automatic hydrometeorological stations will be installed on the rivers in Karabakh.
