Mukhtar Babayev: COP31 needs action, not just deals

Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Climate Issues, has emphasized the need to move from agreements to implementation on the path to COP31, backed by determined leadership, predictable financing, and real accountability, Report informs.
"At PCD2026, one message is clear: the challenge is not ambition - it is delivery. Toward COP31, we must move from agreements to implementation, with decisive leadership, predictable finance, and real responsibility. The focus now must shift to tangible, measurable results," Babayev wrote on X.
Babayev participated in the Petersberg Climate Dialogue.
