Turkish media representatives visit Khankandi

A group of media representatives from Türkiye visited the city of Khankandi on August 4 as part of a trip to Karabakh, Report informs.

According to the public relations department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankandi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, the guests were closely familiarized with large-scale restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the city, as well as residential and social infrastructure facilities under construction.

The visit is being organized jointly by the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Friendship, Cooperation and Solidarity Foundation, TADIV, and the Intercultural Network Association.

The program aims to show media representatives on site the restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the liberated territories, measures implemented under the Great Return program and the new realities taking shape in the region.

Representatives of Turkish news television channels and information agencies, as part of their visit to Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh, observed humanitarian demining operations being carried out in Azerbaijan's Aghdam district.

According to Report, which cites Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), the media representatives were given detailed briefings on the mine problem facing Azerbaijan, the ongoing efforts to address it, the modern technologies being used, and the role of humanitarian demining in the process of safe reconstruction.
