Natig Mammadli: Digital thinking must be formed by age 18

Digital thinking among children and youth must be shaped by the age of 18, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency (MEDIA) of Azerbaijan, Natig Mammadli, said, Report informs.
Speaking during parliamentary discussions on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Law on Information, Informatization and Protection of Information, and the Law on Protecting Children from Harmful Information, Mammadli stressed that legislation should be seen as a tool to create opportunities rather than just restrictions:
"The law should be presented as a means of creating new opportunities for children. We must encourage them to use information that benefits them," he said.
Mammadli emphasized the need to expand educational resources in the digital environment, noting, "Digital thinking must be formed in children and youth by the age of 18. At the same time, attention should be paid to the positive aspects of digital reality."
