ICESCO may open regional center in Azerbaijan

"One of the issues I want to discuss with you is the ICESCO regional center in Azerbaijan. You know that this matter has been discussed for the last 3-4 years, and we want to look at these talks again," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said while receiving a delegation led by ICESCO Director-General Salim bin Mohammed Al-Maliki.
"If there is positive progress, I think we can do it very soon. This will be very important for us and for all people who contribute to the strengthening of Islamic solidarity and the preservation of Islamic cultural heritage," the head of state noted.
