Vusal Gasimli: Economic growth in Azerbaijan exceeds global average

In 2021, economic growth in Azerbaijan amounted to 5.6%. This is the highest figure in the last eight years, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (AIR Center) Vusal Gasimli said, Report informs.
He noted that the economic growth in Azerbaijan is higher than the world average: “According to the report of the International Monetary Fund, last year the average economic growth in the world was 5.5%. This once again shows that Azerbaijan achieved high economic growth last year. The main driver of this is the non-oil sector. The highest growth rate in this sector since 2013 has been recorded.”
