Mikayil Jabbarov: Dayaq award - great initiative of SME Development Agency

Presenting the Dayaq Award to SMEs on its 5th anniversary is a remarkable initiative by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at the award ceremony, Report informs.

The minister congratulated the agency staff and entrepreneurs on the 5th anniversary of the start of KOBIA.

The attention and concern of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the development of entrepreneurship, especially small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), can also be seen in the introduction of support tools. It is noted that SMEs provide flexibility and stability of the country’s economy, employment and make a significant contribution to its diversification.

Referring to the active participation of entrepreneurs in economic development, especially in the reintegration of the liberated territories, the minister noted that entrepreneurs are currently successfully working in Karabakh. An example of this is the efficient operation of industrial parks and other enterprises established in Aghdam and Jabrayil. In 2023, a list of new projects will be implemented in the territories liberated from occupation, which will ensure large-scale resettlement of citizens in Karabakh.

Chairman of the Board of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov informed about the support and services of the agency, as well as innovations for entrepreneurs in 2023.

At the event, entrepreneurs who achieved some success received the Dayaq award in the nominations “Successful Manufacturer”, “Successful Startup”, “Successful Activities in the Field of Sports and Health”, “Successful Farmer”, “Introduction of Modern Security Technologies in Karabakh”, “On Guard for Health”, “Clean Environment and Green Growth”, etc.
