Georgia drastically increases imports of tomatoes from Azerbaijan

From January through March 2021, Georgia imported 562.2 tons of fresh or chilled tomatoes from Azerbaijan for $167,500, Report informs with reference to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat).
In the past two years, there has been an increase in Azerbaijan’s exports of tomatoes to neighboring countries. Last year, Azerbaijan exported 330.5 tons of tomatoes to Georgia.
In 2019, this figure was only 53.8 tons.
