Consumer market in Azerbaijan grows nearly 5%

In January–May of 2025, the value of goods sold and services provided in Azerbaijan to meet consumer demand amounted to 33.1 billion manats (approximately $19.5 billion), marking a 4.5% increase in real terms compared to the same period in 2025, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Of the total value, 77.1% came from retail trade turnover, 19.5% from paid services provided to the population, and 3.4% from public catering turnover.

The value of goods sold and services provided by non-state sector enterprises rose by 4.1% compared to January–May 2025, reaching 31.5 billion manats (almost $18.53 billion), with 41.1% generated through the activities of individual entrepreneurs.

During the reporting period, each consumer spent an average of 644.5 manats ($379.12) per month, which is 57.9 manats ($34.06) more in nominal terms compared to the same period in 2025.
