Azerbaijan to participate in 3rd Global Islamic Economy Summit

Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli will speak at the 3rd Global Islamic Economy Summit to be held in Istanbul.

According to Report, citing the center, the summit will take place on June 3–6 at the headquarters of Halkbank in the Istanbul Financial Center with the support of the Investment and Finance Office of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

Organized by AlBaraka Forum and to be attended by the Turkish president, the summit will focus on the theme "Capital in Islamic Economics: Structuring Wealth for Sustainable Development."

The event is expected to serve as an important international dialogue platform on directing financial resources toward the real economy amid the transformation of global capital flows.

Within the framework of the summit, Gasimli will deliver a presentation during a roundtable panel titled "Islamic Economics and Halal in Central Asia: Current Realities and the Way Forward."

The discussions will focus on the institutional development of Islamic economics in Central Asia, the role of Islamic capital in financing regional trade and infrastructure projects, and the prospects for shaping regional economic models.

Gasimli is also expected to emphasize the importance of the summit in promoting innovation, sustainability, and international cooperation, while highlighting initiatives by AlBaraka Forum aimed at developing the global Islamic economic ecosystem.

In addition, the Center will present a conceptual document outlining Azerbaijan's institutional experience in economic reforms and approaches to regional cooperation, as well as information on the prospects for the development of the Islamic finance system in the country.
