Azerbaijan's mining imports from Türkiye rise 24.7%

Azerbaijan imported $7.91 million worth of mining industry products from Türkiye in January-July 2026, marking a 24.7% increase compared with the same period last year, Report informs, citing the Turkish Exporters Assembly.

Azerbaijan's imports of Turkish mining products totaled $2.07 million in July alone, up 145.2% year-on-year.

Türkiye's total mining industry exports increased by 18.8% year-on-year to $4.08 billion in the first seven months of the year. In July, mining exports rose 13% to $645 million.

China was Türkiye's largest destination for mining industry exports during the seven months, with purchases worth $1.21 billion, up 41% year-on-year.

The United States ranked second with $325.89 million, an increase of 2.9%, followed by Bulgaria with $292.45 million, up 16.6%.

The figures highlight the continued growth in trade between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the mining sector, although Azerbaijan's purchases account for only a small share of Türkiye's overall mining exports.
