Azerbaijan increases metal imports from Türkiye by 6.3%

Azerbaijan imported ferrous and non-ferrous metals worth $65.72 million from Türkiye in the first half of this year, up 6.3% compared with the same period last year.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Türkiye exported $10.02 million worth of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to Azerbaijan in June, down 19% year-on-year.
During January-June, Türkiye's total exports of ferrous and non-ferrous metals rose 11.7% from a year earlier to $7.2 billion. In June alone, exports increased by 40.7% year-on-year to $1.36 billion.
Germany was the largest importer of Turkish ferrous and non-ferrous metals during the six-month period, purchasing $854.06 million worth of products, up 12.3% from a year earlier. Italy followed with imports totaling $577.9 million, an increase of 6.1%, while Bulgaria imported $469.03 million worth of metals, up 44.1% year-on-year.
