Brazil quintuples frozen turkey meat supply to Azerbaijan

In the first month of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 300.31 tons (-34%) of frozen turkey meat worth $ 298,000 (+3.8%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, 125.72 tons worth $101,820 were imported from Brazil, 80.25 tons worth $80,220 from Germany, 18.55 tons worth $34,360 from Russia, 25.42 tons worth $25,420 from Portugal, and 25.77 tons worth $21,690 from Spain.
Compared to the same period in 2021, supplies from Brazil increased by 5.2 times and 6.8 times, respectively, from Russia - by 97% and 36%. In January last year, Azerbaijan did not buy frozen turkey meat from Germany, Portugal, and Spain.
