Azerbaijan sees decline in expenses on milk imports

From January through November 2021, Azerbaijan imported 9,856 tons of milk for about $13 million, respectively, up 855 tons (9.4%) and down $1.5 million (10.3%) from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the amount of imports increased by 855 tons (9.4%) but decreased by $1.5 million (10.3%) in monetary terms.
Thus, in the first 11 months of 2021, Azerbaijan paid $1.3 million for 1 ton of milk, about 19% cheaper than the same period last year.
During the reporting period, expenses on milk imports amounted to 0.1% of Azerbaijan's total import expenditures.
