Azerbaijan investing 45M manats in new agricultural projects

Azerbaijan's Azorqanika plans to implement a greenhouse complex construction project worth 30 million manats in the Jabrayil district, the head of Azorqanika, Nijat Mammadov, said at a meeting on the State Program for 2026–2030 on the development of the agricultural sector, Report informs.
According to him, the greenhouse complex will be built on the territory of the village of Gushchular in the Jabrayil district and will cover a total of 30 hectares.
The first phase of the project envisages the construction of a greenhouse on an area of 10 hectares for sweet pepper.
"At the same time, a yield of 78 kg per square meter is planned. The complex will also include special units for packaging, storage, and cooling of products. In addition, a separate production facility will be established for the manufacture of metal and aluminum structures to be used in greenhouse equipment," Mammadov noted.
He also reported on the implementation of a project in the village of Bakharli in the Zangilan district to create intensive and super-intensive orchards on an area of 102 hectares, and the launch of a large-scale cherry cultivation project in the liberated territories.
The products are planned to be supplied to both traditional markets and exported to China, Germany, Scandinavian countries, and South Korea.
The initial investment in the project amounts to 15 million manats.
