Azerbaijan boosts fruit production by over 55%

In January–May 2026, the total value of livestock production in Azerbaijan rose by 2.6% year-on-year (YoY), while crop production increased by 1.1% YoY, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
As of June 1, harvests included 443,600 tons of vegetables (up 1.5% YoY), 168,900 tons of potatoes (up 0.1% YoY), 54,000 tons of fruits and berries (up 55.4% YoY), 30,600 tons of cereals and legumes (down 69.1% YoY), and 556 tons of green tea leaves (up 11.5% YoY).
In addition, the country produced 244,400 tons of meat (live weight), 915,300 tons of milk, 988.7 million eggs, and 10,700 tons of wool in 5 months. Compared to the corresponding period in 2025, meat output rose by 4.7%, while milk, egg, and wool production fell by 0.1%, 2.2%, and 5.2%, respectively.
