Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov has proposed intensifying efforts on the implementation of a unified tourism visa for foreign people wishing to travel to Central Asian countries.
According to Report's correspondent in Kyrgyzstan, Zhaparov made this proposal at the informal consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan held in Cholpon-Ata.
"The cultural closeness between our peoples, shared history, and traditional ties remain the solid foundation of our relations. Cooperation in the field of tourism has great potential. Central Asia and Azerbaijan can offer the world the unique heritage of ancient cities, monuments of the Great Silk Road, mountain and lake landscapes, national traditions, and cultural diversity. Kyrgyzstan has put forward the initiative of implementing a unified tourism visa for foreign citizens wishing to visit Central Asian states," he stated.
Kyrgyz President thanked the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for supporting this initiative: "I hope for the continued support of my colleagues. I propose instructing the foreign policy agencies of our states to intensify consultations for the development of agreed positions."
