Tourist flow from Azerbaijan triples

In January-February 2022, the number of Azerbaijani travelers abroad increased by 3 times compared to last year and amounted to 184,200 people, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

The number of people traveling to Russia rose 4.3 times, Iran 4.3 times, Turkiye 2.6 times, and Georgia 2.3 times. 40.5% of the country's citizens traveled to Turkey, 24.9% to Russia, 7.8% to Georgia, 11.7% to Iran, and 15.1% to other countries. 68.3% of travelers were men and 31.7% were women.

Last month, 35% of Azerbaijani citizens going abroad used rail and road, 62.6% used air, and 2.4% used the sea.
