Sri Lankan official: Circular green tourism among key models

Circular green tourism is regarded as one of the most promising models for the future development of the industry, Suleima Lebbe Naseer, Secretary of the Tourism Division at Sri Lanka's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism, said at the international conference in Baku on Green Tourism in CICA Countries, Report informs.

According to him, circular green tourism involves efficient use of resources, reduction of waste, and promotion of responsible consumption.

"This approach enables the creation of tourism destinations that are environmentally responsible, socially inclusive, and economically sustainable. The future of tourism is directly linked to the preservation of natural and cultural resources," the official said.
