Number of Georgia's visitors from Azerbaijan down by 96%

In the first quarter of this year, 11,314 people visited Georgia from Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).

According to the GNTA, this is 250,876 people or 95.7% less than last year.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan ranked third in terms of the number of visitors to Georgia after Turkey (50,720 people) and Armenia (15,316 people).

From January through March, the Caucasus country was visited by a total of 130,188 foreign guests, which is 88.4% less than the figures of the same period last year.
