The Baku-Shymkent-Baku flight will become another symbol of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, said Jamil Manizade, Chief Commercial Officer of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Report informs.
He noted that civil aviation fulfills a unique mission, connecting cities and countries, contributing to the development of economies and businesses, and bringing people together.
"The Baku-Shymkent flight will become a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two fraternal states. It is especially symbolic that the new flight is opening to Shymkent, one of the most important economic, cultural, and business centers of Kazakhstan," Manizade said.
He also noted that Shymkent has become the fourth city in Kazakhstan on AZAL's route network.
"We currently operate regular direct flights from Baku to Astana, Almaty, and Aktau, and now Shymkent is being added to this list. We are confident that the opening of direct flights between Baku and Shymkent will contribute to the development of tourism, business, and humanitarian ties between our countries," he added.
