Despite the alarming effect of coronavirus (COVID-19), Croatia extends preparations to house 600,000 tourists.
“90 thousand of them are local tourists. Croatia is a safe place, no matter what occurs in the world. Even figures are proofs of Croatia, making it a trustworthy country. More serious epidemiological steps have to be taken to diminish the number of infected people and confirm the country's safety assurance," - Gary Capelli, Ministry of Tourism of Croatia, briefed to Report.
A report of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) points out that this year the global tourism sector will experience $1.2 trillion lost due to pandemic.
