Baku–Shymkent flight gives passengers access to AZAL's wide int'l network

The Baku–Shymkent–Baku route will provide passengers from Shymkent with access to Azerbaijan Airlines' (AZAL) extensive network of European and other international destinations via Baku, said Khayal Gadimzada, AZAL's Sales Representative for Central Asia, during a meeting with tourism operators in the city, according to Report's correspondent in Shymkent.

Gadimzada noted that the flight offers more than just a direct link between the two cities: "AZAL currently operates flights to more than 70 destinations, and passengers can conveniently connect via Baku to Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. Heydar Aliyev International Airport enjoys high prestige in global aviation and is considered one of the region's key transport hubs."

He added that the Shymkent route is operated with Embraer aircraft and will contribute to the development of passenger traffic, tourism ties, and business cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan: "The Baku–Shymkent flight schedule allows passengers to easily connect with AZAL's European routes. For travelers heading to destinations such as Berlin, Milan, Paris, and Prague, this new route offers additional advantages."
