Azerbaijani journalists visit Kyrgyzstan's spiritual center

On the third day of the media tour to Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijani journalists visited the Rukh-Ordo cultural and spiritual center named after Chingiz Aitmatov, located on the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.

According to Report's correspondent in Cholpon-Ata, during the excursion, the journalists learned about the history of the complex, its architecture, and exhibitions dedicated to the renowned Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov as well as the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

Visitors were informed about the concept of the center, which combines elements of various religions and cultures as a symbol of peace, mutual understanding, and interfaith dialogue.

Rukh-Ordo is a unique open-air museum complex covering 4.5 hectares, founded in 2002 by prominent public figure and philanthropist Tashkul Kereksizov. Today, it is one of Kyrgyzstan's most visited cultural sites.

A distinctive feature of the complex is its five white chapels symbolizing Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Buddhism, and Judaism. Their identical architectural design reflects the idea of spiritual equality, mutual respect, and unity of humanity regardless of faith.

The territory of Rukh-Ordo includes 10 mini-museums and exhibition spaces, such as the House-Museum of Chingiz Aitmatov, the Hall of Kyrgyz Art and Culture, art and photo galleries, the cottage of the great manaschi Sayakbay Karalayev, the Treasury of Knowledge, ethnographic exhibitions, monuments to prominent figures, and more.

Afterwards, the media tour participants continued exploring the tourism potential of the Issyk-Kul region.

In a conversation with journalists, Kyrgyz president's press secretary Askat Alagozov emphasized that such media tours strengthen humanitarian ties between friendly states and promote cooperation in the information sphere.

"Similar familiarization trips have previously been organized for representatives of leading publications from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. Media plays an important role in shaping public opinion and developing relations between the two countries," he noted.

The Azerbaijani journalists' visit was organized under the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov by his press secretary, Askat Alagozov, within the framework of deepening Kyrgyzstan–Azerbaijan cooperation in information and humanitarian fields.
