On August 24–25, a familiarization trip covering Azerbaijan's Khankandi, Shusha, and Lachin was organized by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) with the participation of 50 local tourism industry representatives, Report informs, citing the country's State Tourism Agency.
The main goal of the trip was to introduce participants to the tourism potential of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, including the region's rich cultural‑historical heritage, natural resources, existing infrastructure, and emerging tourism products.
As part of the experience‑based program, participants visited various tourism sites, explored local hospitality opportunities, and received detailed information about experiences that could be integrated into future tourism routes.
The trip contributed to enhancing practical knowledge, developing new tourism products, and evaluating future cooperation opportunities related to the region.
It is planned that such trips will continue, allowing local tourism industry representatives to become familiar with different tourism destinations across Azerbaijan.
