Azerbaijan to create legal framework for Tourism Village concept

Azerbaijan plans to create a regulatory framework for the Tourism Village concept, reads the State Program for Tourism Development for 2026–2030, approved today by President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.

Furthermore, the Program envisages the creation of a regulatory mechanism for sustainable tourism, including climate action in tourism.

The Program's goals also include organizing sustainable tourism in state reserves (within monuments) and natural areas, including national parks; reorganizing hunting grounds to develop hunting tourism; developing tourism in the city of Naftalan; and creating tourism infrastructure in villages with tourism potential in accordance with the Tourism Village concept.
