Azerbaijan's tourism potential showcased in Serbia

The Azerbaijan Tourism Board has organized an event in Belgrade, Serbia, to promote the country as an attractive year-round tourist destination, Report informs referring to the State Tourism Agency.
The event was attended by the head of the bureau, Florian Sengstschmid; the chairman of the agency, Fuad Nagiyev; the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev; the State Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of Serbia, Nikola Mijailović; representatives of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation; and representatives of the tourism industry and media from both countries.
Speaking at the event, Fuad Nagiyev noted that the visa-free regime, joint initiatives, and the launch of a direct Baku-Belgrade flight are making an important contribution to the development of tourism ties and the growth of tourist flow.
The event included B2B meetings with eight representatives of the local tourism industry and approximately 30 Serbian travel companies.
Air Serbia has been operating direct flights between Baku and Belgrade twice a week since May 3. The average occupancy rate is 87%.
