Azerbaijan plans tourist rail ticket packages and discounts

Azerbaijan plans to introduce daily, weekly and monthly railway ticket packages for tourists, as well as discounted ticket offers for specific destinations, according to the State Program on the Development of Tourism for 2026–2030, approved today by President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.

The program also envisages integrating railway ticket sales into the Global Distribution System (GDS).

In addition, measures are planned to improve the conditions for organizing tourist trips to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. These include determining the conditions for operating non-scheduled (charter) flights on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route.

The program also calls for the development of a sales model allowing tour operators to book tickets on the Baku–Nakhchivan–Baku route on the condition that they sell a tourism package.

The measures are aimed at making travel within Azerbaijan more accessible to tourists and improving transport connectivity with key tourism destinations.
