Azerbaijan plans to provide subsidies to tour operators for bringing foreign tourists to the country, according to the State Program on the Development of Tourism for 2026–2030, approved today by President Ilham Aliyev, Report informs.
The program also envisages creating subsidy mechanisms to compensate organizers for expenses related to arranging non-scheduled (charter) air flights, organizing additional scheduled flights to target tourism markets, and covering part of the expenses of organizers of tourism-related events, including concerts and entertainment programs.
In addition, subsidy support is planned for investors in accommodation infrastructure and micro and small businesses operating in the tourism sector.
