Azerbaijan-based hotels see 16% decline in revenues

Global coronavirus outbreak has negatively affected the tourism sector worldwide. Azerbaijan also faced this problem, and the hotels and other facilities saw a decline in the revenues in January-March 2020, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee (SSC).
The incomes of the hotels in the first quarter dropped 15.8% to AZN 60 million, of which 58.5% came from services on presentation of rooms, 27.8% public catering services, 3.9% from treatment, and health services, 9.8% from other services.
