Ambassador: S. Korea-Azerbaijan tourism cooperation must be restored

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and South Korea in the tourism sector was most directly affected by the COVID pandemic, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Tong Op told Report.
“The number of Korean tourists who visited Azerbaijan reached 9,000 in 2019. We expected the number to hit 10,000 in 2020, but because of COVID-19, this data decreased,” said Kim Tong Op.
He noted that when the COVID-19 situation is over, the tourism sector must be the sector that will be strongly and quickly recovering.
