Azerbaijan's Elit polo club favorite to win Sea Breeze final, Swiss player says

Azerbaijan's Elit polo club is the favorite to win the final of the Sea Breeze international beach polo tournament, being held in Baku for the first time, St. Moritz player Daniel Savari said.

Savari told Report that the tournament had been organized at a high level.

"The tournament is very well organized. Alongside international clubs, Azerbaijan also has a very strong team competing here," he said.

Savari noted that it was his team's first visit and that playing on sand offered a different experience, as they usually compete on grass.

"It is a very interesting tournament, and we have watched enjoyable matches so far. Tomorrow, our team will face Azerbaijan in the final. We will see how it goes - the luckier side will win," he said.

The player also assessed the level of Elit polo club.

"There is no doubt that the Azerbaijani team is the favorite because they have very strong, high-level players in their squad. If we win, we will consider it a great achievement, but in any case we will fight until the end," Savari said.

Azerbaijan's Elit polo club defeated Britain's Red Star 9-7 in the semifinal today to secure a place in the final.

The team will face Swiss representative St. Moritz in the final.
