Azerbaijan reports slight decline in divorces among families with children under 18

In Azerbaijan, 21,384 divorces were recorded last year among families with children under the age of 18.

According to Report, this figure stood at 21,688 in 2023.

Of the total divorces registered in the country last year:

- 10,364 involved childless couples,

- 4,368 were families with one child,

- 6,652 were families with two or more children.

Additionally, 19,632 children ended up living with one parent following divorce.

The average number of children affected per 100 divorces remained unchanged from 2023, standing at 178.
