Azerbaijan sees population increase

The population of Azerbaijan increased by 23,259 people or 0.2 percent since the beginning of the year and reached 10,142,392 as of August 1, 2021, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, 53.0% of the total population lives in urban areas, while 47.0% live in rural areas. Men and women accounted for 49.9% and 50.1% of the population, respectively.
