Azerbaijani-origin religious figures from Türkiye, Georgia and Iraq visited the Aghdam Juma Mosque.

According to Report's correspondent from Aghdam, the guests were briefed on the history of the mosque.

They were told that during the occupation, the mosque, like other religious sites in Karabakh, was destroyed, and pigs were kept inside the building. Following the liberation of Aghdam, the mosque was fully renovated and restored, and facilities for worship were established. The guests were also shown photographs of the mosque during the occupation and after its restoration.

The guests' visit to Karabakh concluded with prayers at the Aghdam Juma Mosque.

They were briefed on the events that took place in Aghdam from the early days of the Karabakh conflict. It was also noted that historical and religious monuments and cemeteries in the district were subjected to vandalism during the occupation.

The guests described what they had seen and heard as one of the most tragic events in world history.
