Regional conference in Azerbaijan's Sabirabad addresses risks of politicizing religion

A regional conference titled "Politicization of Religion and Sectarianism: A Threat to National Identity" has opened in the city of Sabirabad, Report informs.

The event is organized by the State Committee for Affairs with Religious Associations of Azerbaijan.

Participants include representatives of the committee and the Sabirabad District Executive Power, members of law-enforcement agencies, theologians, religious leaders, and community representatives.

Speakers will address the themes outlined by the conference, followed by extensive discussions on the issues raised.
