Conference panel discusses religious tolerance in Azerbaijan

A panel discussion at the conference titled "Preservation of historical and religious monuments: challenges and prospects" focused on the tolerance of Azerbaijanis toward different religions and denominations, Report informs.

The conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations.

According to Report, the panel was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs with Religious Associations Gunduz Ismayilov, Head of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture Sabina Hajiyeva, and others.

Ismayilov said that some places of worship in Azerbaijan embody values of tolerance.

Hajiyeva spoke about the tolerance of Azerbaijanis, as well as religious communities and ethnic groups living in the country.
