Zakharova: West aggressively trying to break unity of Russia and CIS countries

The West is using aggressive information campaigns to try to break the unity of the Russian Federation with the CIS countries, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a meeting in the Federation Council, Report informs via TASS.

“It is this community, closeness and unity that the West is trying to break with aggressive information campaigns against Russia and our neighbors. Such actions lead to the most tragic consequences, primarily for the post-Soviet countries,” Zakharova said.

Zakharova believes that Western influence is fatal for the CIS countries. “It is in our common interests with the CIS countries to ensure maximum cooperation to strengthen and protect the common information space,” she said.
