Yerevan ready to sign peace agreement with Baku soon, says Armenian foreign minister

Armenia is prepared to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan in the near future and put an end to the long-standing enmity, according to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

In a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp, Mirzoyan emphasized that while the agreement may not resolve all issues, it could serve as the beginning of a positive conclusion to the entire process, Report informs, citing Armenian media.

He also discussed the normalization of relations with Armenia's other regional neighbor, Türkiye, highlighting Armenia's constructive approach.

"We are also ready to swiftly bring our dialogue with Türkiye to a positive conclusion, establishing diplomatic relations and opening borders, as both Armenia and Türkiye have consistently stated. In some sense, these processes could even advance ahead of or run parallel to the developments surrounding Ukraine," Mirzoyan added.
