Vladimir Putin: Some choose Baku not Yerevan

More 2 million Armenians came to Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said while addressing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the VII Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Report informs, citing TASS.

Ilya Doronov, the moderator of the forum's plenary meeting, noted that Armenia was facing an "inflow of labor migrants" from Russia and asked Nikol Pashinyan how Russians adapt to the local society and what role they play.

In response, Vladimir Putin said: "Excuse me, Nikol. Before he answers, I want to say that even more Armenians came to Russia, more than 2 million. We welcome any step that benefits Russian business. You can work in Yerevan and live in Moscow. There are no obstacles. Many who left Russia have already returned, realizing that nothing terrible is happening here. If someone loves working in Armenia, let them do it."

The Russian President added that some Russians choose Baku instead of Yerevan to work: "Also, a very good financial zone has been created in Kazakhstan."
