Uzbekistan to implement 120 critical minerals projects worth over $4B

Uzbekistan plans to implement 120 projects worth over $4 billion in the critical minerals sector in the coming years, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated in Seoul at the opening of the Uzbek-South Korean business forum, Report informs.

The head of state noted that by 2030, Uzbekistan intends to increase the volume of its electrical engineering industry to $11 billion, with exports reaching $5 billion.

The priority is not merely exporting raw materials, but creating full production chains in Uzbekistan-from deep processing to the manufacturing of finished high-tech products, the president emphasized.

In addition, he invited South Korean investors to carry out projects in transport and urban infrastructure, including facilities in New Tashkent, airports, railways, highways, and logistics centers.

"Uzbekistan is capable of becoming a production and export hub for Korean companies in Central Asia. To bring these initiatives to life, it has been proposed to create the Uzbek-South Korean Industrial and Technological Alliance," Mirziyoyev said.
